The poems and passages in The Blood of a Nation speak mostly from the voices “that shall not speak—cannot speak but as a haunting echo”, echoes of those wars that have been fought, and “in the twilight of events that occurred” are still being fought today. Many questions in this book are pondered, “aren’t all wars an injustice against humanity?” And yet, in the face of evil, there is the hope to promote justice, equality, and peace throughout the world by exercising humility even though “humility has never been omnipotent…”
